Objectives:
To restructure the UWSS sector to a system composed of several local corporations (LCs) each managed autonomously and independent of the National Water and Sanitation Authority (NWSA) to serve a specific governorate in Yemen.

Technologies and Techniques Implemented:
Support of reform (technical and institutional development, stakeholder participation, community participation, information sharing, and customer relations); decentralization (supervisory boards, assessment of investment needs, setting up organization structure, developing capacity in modern management tools, accounting, human resources management, tariff analysis, asset management and setting up service agreements); public private partnership (PPP)
